Perinur Bozaykut Eker

Associate Professor Perinur Bozaykut Eker graduated from Marmara University with a BS degree in Biological Sciences and pursued her MSc and PhD degrees in Medical Biochemistry at Marmara University. She completed her MSc studies as a visiting researcher in King’s College London at Cardiovascular Division. Then, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Vadim Gladyshev at Harvard Medical School & Genetics Division where her research involved transcriptomics analysis of aging & lifespan extension and targeted drug repurposing. Currently, her research program at Acıbadem University is funded by TUBITAK national programs and NSF-USA bilateral international program which focuses on mechanisms of aging and developing therapy strategies against aging-related human pathologies including cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
